To my knowledge, raising the wooden bed isn't difficult, but her hall director can give more information on how it is done. For the metal beds, there is no fee to request assistance.
Metal bed frames are in Normal Hall, Regents Hall, and Hilltopper Hall. I have raised/lowered the wooden post bed frames by myself before, though it would be much easier with another person. The bed posts have metal bars about every 2-3 inches, and the frame has hooks that just lift up and then hook back onto the desired post height.
It is in an older dorm with wooden beds. Do they raise them up for free in the newer dorms? Please describe the ease of raising the wooden ones please.
