Does your student have a Financial Aid hold?

Posted about 4 years ago  in Financial Aid & Scholarships.

Does your student have a financial aid hold that will prevent Registration for fall classes?

If your student completed a FAFSA, still owes a balance, but has not completed all requirements, they may have a hold that will prevent registration. Any registration holds will be noted in bold when your student logs into myWKU.

If your student is a first-time borrower, there are three steps the student is required to complete before their loans will credit towards their university bill.

  1. Log into their TopNet account to accept their student loan offers.- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uke4aK4ymp0
  2. Complete Entrance Counseling at Studentaid.gov. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjKsWwDUI-4
  3. 3. Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at StudentAid.gov - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HzTZQTmyZ4

If you as the parent applied for a Parent Plus loan, you are also required to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at StudentAid.gov https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HzTZQTmyZ4
