WKU Housing Update: December 11

Posted almost 3 years ago in Parents & Families of Residential Students .

The following email message was sent to all residential students on Saturday, December 11 from WKU Housing & Residence Life:

We have assessed campus and you are free to leave campus today if you are able. There are some areas close to campus that are impassable, so we have determined that the routes (listed below) are clear and best to use.

If you are unable to leave campus today, please let your residence hall director know so we can provide you with temporary housing. Hall staff will be coming around to check on you and discuss travel plans. All residence halls are open until 6 PM Saturday, December 11. At that time, those needing to stay on campus should be moved to their temporary housing location.

Residence hall desks are now shut down. Please call the phone number posted at the desk if you need to speak to a staff member.

Fresh Food Co. is open 11 AM-1:30 PM.

Whether you are traveling by yourself or a family member is coming to get you, the best routes to travel are Louisville Road to/from I-65, or Morgantown Road to/from I-165 (Natcher Pkwy). Please avoid Nashville Road/31-W, the roundabout, and Russellville Road.

This email is being sent to both students still here (according to our records), and to those who have already signed out for break. If you have already left campus, please do not return.

Thank you for your cooperation during this event. If you need to talk to someone, your hall staff is available. We will continue to get through this together as a Hilltopper family.
